Celebrate Recovery

CR is a biblical and balanced program that can help you overcome your hurts, habits, and hang-ups. It is based on the words of Jesus and other biblical principles rather than just psychological principles.

This recovery program has shown itself to be more effective in helping people to heal and to change than conventional 12 step programs. Celebrate Recovery ministers to the whole person from a psychological, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual perspective.

The following groups are available:
Celebrate Recovery: for Men

You are welcome to begin attending the GriefShare group at any of the 13 week sessions; each is ‘self-contained'.

Celebrate Recovery visits the UMC Detox Unit

Posted by Celebrate Recovery in Celebrate Recovery

We have an open door to visit the UMC Detox Unit every Sunday afternoon from 3:30-4:30. One or two Celebrate Recovery members go and share short testimonies of how life was for us and how our lives are now-with the help of God and Celebrate Recovery. We have the honor of being witnesses of the hope that Jesus offers as they move through detox into recovery. It is a message of hope for the weary-that they are loved and valued in the family of God, even before they can love themselves.

Bayou Family Project Day was an amazing event with 500 people serving at 40 project locations and working with 20 local organizations in Lafayette, Opelousas, Youngsville, Eunice, and Kaplan.

God worked in some incredible ways, and we would love to hear your feedback! Please submit stories to missions@eastbayou.org about how God used you as an individual, family, or small group to help others, and how he used the day to teach you as well.

Amazing work, everyone! You may never know how far the service of one day has and will continue to impact Acadiana for Christ.
